TYLDESLEY RU are expecting a record number of entries as they again host the Matthew Brown Brewery Touch Rugby Sevens.
Last summer saw 12 teams battle it out for a first prize of £250, eventually won by Sinatra's Swingers, a team consisting of players from Leigh Rangers.
Entry forms are now available from the club. Call either 01942-882967 or 0410-083984.
Entry fees are £75 per team which ensures 11 weeks of fun and competitive rugby.
The tournament kicks off on May 10 (6.45pm).
Meanwhile, the club's Jekyll & Hyde season continued with a 31-24 defeat by an average Ormskirk side.
As usual, they began well with tries for Swanton and Dave Peet plus a Dave Sivill conversion. Then they eased off.
The second half began well with Berrisford crashing in for a TD, Peet grabbed a second, Sivill hit a goal. But Ormskirk hit back to stay in touch and an handling error help the home side snatch a late try.
Tyldesley's last game of the season is at Well Street on Saturday (3pm) against Ambleside.
Tyldesley Juniors played in the Ashton-on-Mersey Tournament on Sunday.
The U12s won, winning three and drawing one including the defeat of First Division Orrell. Player of the Tournament: Mark Jones.
The U10s were runners-up, winning three losing one to chamnps Kersal. MoT: Anthony Darwin.
The U8s won two and lost two of their matches. PoT: Liam Stevenson.
