THE son of Leigh lottery millionaire Ken White, accused of drug smuggling, had a second bid for bail refused by magistrates in Manchester.
Father-of-two Richard White, aged 33, of Meadowbank Gardens, Glazebury, was among seven men on remand charged at the city's magistrates court with being involved in a £1 million cannabis plot.
They and several other people were arrested after customs and police officers seized 300 kilos of cannabis from a 40 foot lorry at a farm off Green Lane, Leigh.
Retired haulage contractor Mr White and one of his sons were in court for the hearing and both offered "substantial" securities.
But White; Thomas Dawson, 46, of Green Lane, Leigh, and the rest of the defendants were further remanded in custody.
