ST HELENS Council has succeeded in obtaining possession of two council tenancies following legal action over alleged neighbour nuisance.
On April 23 at St Helens County Court a district judge granted the council immediate possession against a female tenant of Wythburn Crescent, Moss Bank, allowing her seven days to vacate the property. And the court also granted the council possession against a male tenant from Frontfield Court, Parr.
Councillor Richard Ward, chair of Housing and Environmental Services said the cases were further examples of the council's continuing commitment to taking positive enforcement action against tenants who persist in causing a nuisance to their neighbours. "The council will not tolerate such behaviour and will take enforcement action, including applying to the courts to evict tenants," he added.
