TURF Moor went mad as the final whistle blew away the fears of a non-league football for Burnley.
The 2-1 win over Orient was treated like a cup tie as thousands scrambled over the barriers and flooded on to the pitch.
Nearly 17,600 packed the stands and terraces to watch their team escape relegation at the last minute.
Figures showed AIDS had claimed another victim in the North West, bringing the total to 31 deaths.
