DOWN'S Syndrome Association Awareness Week will take place from June 7-14 to raise awareness of the Association and to promote a greater understanding of the condition itself.
To raise funds, we are inviting people around the country to host a tea party during Awareness Week.
Even a small party will help. In 1996, the parties raised in the region of £20,000.
The idea is to have a party with a wacky theme: A fancy dress party, a Teddy bear's picnic, a Mad Hatter's tea party, etc. Brew up, charge around 50p or £1 per cuppa and have lots of fun while helping to raise 'pots' of cash.
