BOLTON Wanderers' powerhouse winger David Lee would jump at the chance of a summer move to Turf Moor.
The Bolton star is out of contract and could face a free transfer as Bolton build for a return to the Premiership high life.
And I understand the 29-year-old Lee is one of the several players earmarked by Clarets manager Adrian Heath - if he becomes available.
Lee played a major role in Bolton's brilliant championship season - but says Burnley WOULD be one of his first choices if he parts company with the First Division title winners.
Lee said: "It is a massive club and I'd have to say I would be very interested in joining Burnley if the opportunity arose.
"I was linked with Burnley and Preston a year ago but still don't know what will be happening next season.
"The manager (Colin Todd) is away on holiday until the middle of next week so I don't know if Bolton will offer me a new contract yet.
"But I think if they were going to do it then they'd have done it before now.
"I am keeping all my options open at present. If I left Bolton then Burnley would be a great club to go to.
"I still think I've a lot to offer. I played in 31 out of 46 Premiership games with Bolton this season and have a First Division championship-winning medal."
Heath confirmed: "I have several targets in mind and there may be movement in at least one area in the next week.
"I have set my stall out to bring in several new faces over the summer."
Heath, meanwhile, is expected to invite trialists David Hilton, now free from his contract with Manchester United, centre-half Sean Hessey from Liverpool and Millwall forward Shaun Stevens for pre-season training.
They have all impressed Heath in recent reserve team games and he added: "We might be able to offer them something over the summer.
"I am hoping to fix something up with them when we come back in July."
