A WOMAN was taken to hospital with broken teeth after a gang of men threw bricks through a taxi window in the early hours of today.
The woman, in her 20s, was hit in the mouth by a stone hurled through the rear window of a taxi she was travelling in with three other passengers.
A male passenger in the taxi chased the men and detained one in Church Street, Blackburn, until police arrived.
A Rishton and a Mill Hill man, both 22, are in custody at Blackburn police station.
Firefighters from Blackburn travelling back to the station were flagged down by a pedestrian.
They administered first-aid to the injured woman until paramedics arrived and took the woman to Blackburn Infirmary.
