A PUB manager was left counting the cost of a violent clash between rival football fans before the last game of the season kicked-off at Ewood Park.
Trevor Hannon, who runs the town centre Adelphi Beer Emporium, could only watch on in horror as about 80 men, many wearing Blackburn Rovers shirts, charged at his pub at about 2pm.
"It was like a full scale riot," he said. "There were about 40 Leicester supporters in at the time so I knew there would be trouble."
Staff managed to block the main entrance before the gang arrived and started throwing bricks. All the women and children in the pub were ushered into the kitchen area.
Mr Hannon added: "It was frightening for everyone. Snooker cues and other weapons were being used and glass from the smashed windows was spraying all round the pool room."
A man from Leicester, who had been hit in the eye with a snooker ball, was treated by paramedics at the scene.
Police who are investigating the incident confirmed nobody had been arrested.
Inspector Stuart Coates said: "We are aware of a large-scale incident at the pub.
"But the people involved had left the premises when we arrived and we are now seeking information about who they were."
