I AM shocked and appalled at ill-treatment of animals.
As a researcher for 40 years, I have come across some appalling sights - animals drowned in a canal or shot with an air gun.
It is now time for this evil to be put in its place and a good place to start is in the schools.
I think that this could be a good project to let children know that animals have a right to live and also have feelings.
