THE new-look Worsley Constituency said a resounding 'yes' to new Labour and Terry Lewis.
The constituency - which now includes half of Atherton through boundary chages - sent him back to Westminster with a huge vote of confidence by increasing his already substantial majority to over 17,000.
And he told suppporters at the Little Hulton High School count: "I'll be there - shoulder to shoulder to make sure that Worsley gets a crack at what's going on."
Dismissing the Tories, he told cheering supporters: "Good riddance to 'em!"
Tory Damien Garrido had his suppport slashed by 8,000 votes, while Atherton clerk Robert Bleakley saw his Lib Dem vote hold up.
Mr Garrido warned Labour: "At the next election the British people will realise that they have made a mistake which will never be repeated again."
