A TALENTED teenager heading for stardom has scooped a series of top awards at the Blackburn Festival to add to her increasing collection.
Donna Louise Peachey says her ambition is to be the first person from Trawden to be on television and her proud parents have recently found her an agent to help her on her way.
Donna took part in the festival at the weekend, coming first in the under 16 verse speaking, the under 15 solo drama and the under 15 Lancashire dialect. And she won third prizes in the under 15 Bible reading, the under 15 Shakespeare and for her own composition of a poem which she wrote about the Dunblane tragedy.
Donna, of Lane House, Trawden, also won overall first in the solo drama section, beating 25 other competitors of all ages with her rendition of The Witches by Roald Dahl.
The 14-year-old, who attends Skipton Girls High, goes to speech and drama classes with Yvonne Mossop in Nelson and has won a total of 14 trophies and cups.
Her dad Kevin said: "There's no one in the family with any acting experience and we don't know where she has got this from.
"But she has done very well and we are extremely proud of her."
