KATE WARD struck triple gold for Tyldesley SC.
Swimming in the 13-Year group she was in stunning form at the City of Chester Open Meet.
She won the 100 freestyle - setting a Meet record, hitting a PB and gaining a NQT - the 200 freestyle (NQT) and 200 IM (PB)
Kate then added silver in the 200 freestyle and was seventh in the 100 backstroke.
In the same age group Stuart Carlisle made it 1-2-3 with gold in the 200 freestyle, silver in the 100 backstroke and bronze in the 100 butterfly; he was also seventh in the 100 freestyle.
At 12-Year Khalid Jhugroo picked up silver in both the 200 IM and 100 butterfly, bronze in the 100 freestyle and fifth in the 100 breaststroke; James Gendall was fifth in the 100 butterfly and sixth in the 200 IM; Kelly Banner set PBs in the 100 backstroke for third and the 200 IM for sixth; Jessica Howarth was fourth in the 100 butterfly.
Matthew Consannon was fourth in the 50 breaststroke at 11-Year.
Andrew Hurst (14-Year) reached a hat-trick of finals, fifth in both the 200 backstroke and 200 freestyle, seventh in the 200 IM.
Other Tyldesley youngsters, all swimming well and hitting PBs in the event at the Everton Park Sports Centre in Liverpool, were David Gendall, Michelle Greensmith, Samantha Greensmith, Mark Hurst, Samantha Thompson, Stephanie Thompson, Liam Whalley and Sarah Wood.
