A MAN in his early twenties was brutally assaulted by a gang who set upon him and sliced off the tip of his finger.
The man was walking along Gartons Lane in Clock Face at 11.45pm on May 4 when a number of youths leapt out and dragged him into a nearby alleyway. He was then subjected to a vicious assault which culminated when one of the gang members sliced of the tip of his finger with a sharp implement.
The man was later treated in hospital for his injuries and was unable to give a clear description of any of his attackers.
