BURY's championship triumph has provided a boost for the club's official merchandisers. The town's Birthdays shop, the official stockists of Gigg Lane and Old Trafford souvenirs, expect bumper sales of blue and red keepsakes.
Last Saturday (May 3) saw hundreds pour into The Mall shop with both teams' home shirts selling like hot cakes with trend continuing throughout the week.
A spokeswoman at the shop said: "We have sold out of Bury's home strip. People are buying anything that has either Bury FC or Manchester United printed on it."
The names of United's David Beckham and the Shakers' David Johnson are leading the printed shirt stakes.
