SPY cameras were installed in Blackburn buses to beat thugs and vandals. They were put on top decks and in drivers' cabs in a bid to boost security. The move followed four attacks on busmen in a month, but bus chiefs said the initial motivation was to combat vandalism and graffiti.
The cameras and recording equipment were being tested in a three-month trial, the first of its kind in Lancashire.
