IN reply to Michael Carr, the Liberal Democrat candidate for Ribble Valley at the last election (Letters, May 7), I took exception to his snide comment in which he said he hoped the Labour candidate enjoyed working for Nigel Evans.
Does Mr Carr, whom, I assume, was referring to the Labour candidate's attempt to win the seat, feel that Labour had no right to challenge for the seat?
If so, then maybe it is best he retires from politics, if he no longer believes in the democratic principle.
May I remind him that having voted him into office once, the people of Ribble Valley exercised their right not to vote him back into office again.
