LITTLE Joanne Waring did not blink an eye when her parents' car skidded off the road and overturned after rolling down a 15ft embankment.
The eight-month old slept through the drama yesterday in Cravens Brow, Darwen, and only stirred when the emergency services came to the rescue.
The family from Dickens Street, Blackburn, had been attempting to overtake a lorry in their Ford Sierra when the accident happened.
Ann said: "It was really frightening. One minute we were on the road and the next we were upside down in a field.
"All I could think about was little Joanne. I was amazed to see she was still asleep when the car eventually stopped rolling."
Ann, her husband, Gary, and Joanne were all checked at the scene by paramedics, who were also amazed at their lucky escape.
Ann added: "I really thought we had had it. Now that the shock has worn off none of us are any worse for the experience."
Darwen paramedic John Titherington said: "It really was a miracle that they were not all seriously hurt.
"It just goes to show that safety belts and child seats help save lives."
