A GOOD samaritan turned out to be nothing of the sort when he offered to help a 59-year-old wheelchair-bound man home.
The man pushed the wheelchair to the house in Hallcarr Road, Rawtenstall. Once inside he stole a brown leather wallet containing £35 in cash and a television licence from the disabled man's pocket.
The thief is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, with short dark hair and a moustache. He was wearing a cream coloured hip length coat and had been seen earlier by the disabled man on Bank Street, Rawtenstall.
