AFTER suffering a broken nose through a fall and also having a sore foot, I went into my local shop and left my little dog, who is my constant companion since my husband died, outside. I was feeling a little low when a young boy said: "I will look after your dog until you come out."
I thanked him and he said he was a Scout and was only doing a good deed.
On my way home, a young girl said: "If you ever want anything doing, you have only to ask." She lives just across from my home. I thought that these two young people are a son and daughter to be proud of and I thought of my wonderful neighbours, friends and family who also care for me.
The whole world seemed to take on a new meaning because two young teenagers cared as well.
