PRESTON soldier Donna Duxbury has been presented with a medal by HRH The Prince of Wales.
The 18-year-old who has been with the First Battalion The Cheshire Regiment for just a year, earned the medal with Irish clasp for exemplary service and conduct.
She received it from the Prince when he visited the regiment at Shackleton Barracks, Ballykelly on the final day of his Northern Ireland tour.
Donna is one of the first female clerks to serve with the regiment.
"It was a very special occasion for me," she said: "I was nervous but it was a great honour to receive a medal from The Prince of Wales."
