NOT content to report on matters of worldwide import, a certain broadsheet national newspaper has decided that what's good enough for the Citizen is also good enough for its readers.
The Guardian publishes a section in its Saturday edition called The Week - and our story about local pigeon fanciers getting in a flap about racing birds being fed anabolic steroids certainly had the national hacks pecking for a piece of the action.
Excerpts from our story, 'Spaced Out' which was published on May 2, were printed in a section highlighting the best stories about us Brits and our sometimes barmy behaviour.
Citizen acting editor Alan Barnes said: "The fact that a story about potty pigeons made it into a national newspaper proves the old saying, if you'll excuse the pun: What's sauce for the goose, is sauce for the gander."
