CLIMBING doctor Michael Flannery made it to an agonising 400m from the top of Himalayan mountain Makalu, before the expedition was called off.
The East Lancashire doctor was part of a climbing team which had been blindly wading in snow up to their waists in howling gales.
Under-staffed court bailiffs found they didn't have the time nor the people to move on Blackburn's latest invasion of travellers.
