LEIGH'S going to be blooming this summer.

But Leigh Soroptomists are looking for someone to help them make the flowers grow, and grow, and grow!

Town Centre manager John Ayres is now backing the project with an extra injection of cash which could see over 100 hanging baskets and flower troughs throughout the town.

But he's looking for a handyman to put up the brackets for the baskets outside shops and offices and to water them regularly from June through to September.

"Leigh is a bloomin' great town and the flowers will brighten up the town tremendously," said John.

" Now we just want someone with Leigh at heart to put up the brackets and keep the flowers watered."

'Mr or Mrs Green-fingers' will be the guest of honour at a special event in August as a thank-you for their work.

If you want a flower-filled hanging basket or trough for only £10 - and are volunteering for a bloomin' good job - then contact 01942-672567 (Dorothy Bowker) or 674954 (Avis Freeman).
