ICE skater Yvette Mauback found herself in the media spotlight during a European tour - to the delight of her parents.
The 17-year-old is in the middle of a tour of Turkey with an Italian ice dance show and has appeared on national TV and in magazines.
She is currently in Istanbul on the second leg of the six-month tour, which also takes in Greece and Italy.
Proud parents Keith and Alice Mauback, of Branch Road, Mellor Brook, are thrilled with the success of their daughter, who first took to the ice five years ago.
Mr Mauback, who runs his own coach hire firm, said: "She always wanted to be a skater. We are proud of her. She has done very well to make it to this stage so quickly."
The former Ribblesdale High School pupil received expert tuition from ex-champion skater Dawn Spendlove at Blackburn Arena.
She has appeared in shows in Paris and Spain but the latest ice extravaganza gives Yvette her biggest role to date.
She is one of a multi-national troupe which includes some of the world's top ice dancers from Russia.
