MILITANT supporters expelled from the Labour Party were bidding to join Jack Straw's election campaign. In a leaflet to Blackburn Labour Party members they attacked a ban on help from Militant imposed by the local Labour Party.
Labour leader Neil Kinnock declared: "There's no question of guerrilla warfare or Dad's Army." He was defending the party against claims Britain would be left defenceless if Labour came to power.
