TEACHERS were counting the cost of a blaze which caused £30,000-worth of damage when it ripped through a primary school.
Children at Brookhouse Primary School, Blackburn, were set to get an extended half-term break while the mess was cleared up.
The blaze destroyed 70 per cent of a new classroom block at the school, which the pupils were due to start using. An investigation was launched into the cause of the blaze.
