THE photograph of the Leclere family from Accrington (LET, April 4) certainly aroused some memories.
It, you will remember, was bought at a flea market by a lady who did not know who the family was but found out shortly afterwards.
By all accounts, the group - father and sons and daughter Mary - were quite well-known.
We have a photo of Mary in our family album.
My late brother-in-law, Bill Wyatt, worked with her brother, Jim, at Park Bros, Blackburn, where he later became a foreman.
I met Mary and her future husband, who was in the Royal Navy. They later married and emigrated in 1950.
Now dead, the Leclere brothers and their father would no doubt have known Bill Wyatt for his work for the Admiralty, for which he receive the British Empire Medal.
