SAVING life is now second nature to these first aiders from Clitheroe.
They were presented with Red Cross certificates after successfully completing the organisation's training scheme.
The certificates were presented by Lady Towneley and Lady Clitheroe, president and vice-president respectively of the Lancashire branch of the Red Cross.
Qualifying as first aiders has given them the courage and ability to cope with emergencies, commented Red Cross publicity officer John Garner.
After the presentation, Ribble Valley Red Cross officer Jeff Entwistle outlined the organisation's achievements over the year.
The Red Cross will be out and about during the summer months carrying out first aid duties at numerous events, he said.
A further Red Cross training course starts in Clitheroe in September.
If you would like to take part or would like the Red Cross to attend an event contact Mr Entwistle on 01200 442802 on Tuesdays and Saturdays between 10 am and noon.
