Lancashire Constabulary is searching for talented youngsters to join the force - the football force, that is.
The LanCon junior football teams need new players for next season's fixtures in the Central Lancashire League.
The teams practise at Hutton police headquarters and boast Liverpool and England ace Jamie Redknapp as honorary president. There are vacancies in the under 14s and under 12s squads.
PC Mick Yeadon, who set up the teams two years ago, said: "It's a way of channelling children's energies into something other than crime and drugs. It involves the whole family who support and join in fund-raising events." For details contact Karen Phoenix on (01772) 748564.
