DOUBLE third for Matthew Hampson highlighted some fine performances by Tyldesley swimmers in the Satellite Meet at Macclesfield.
His thirds came in the 200 IM and the 400 freestyle and he followed up with seventh in the 400 IM (PB) and 100 butterfly plus a PB in the 200 butterfly.
Kate Ward added another NQT to her collection, finishing sixth in the 400 freestyle. She was also fourth in the 100 freestyle and hit a PB in the 100 backstroke.
Sarah Wood was in impressive form, producing some excellent swims for sixth in the 50 butterfly (PB) as well as slashing seconds from her PBs in the 50 backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle.
Khalid Jhugroo rounded off the final placings with sixth (PB) in the 100 freestyle. Andrew Hurst, swimming in the open-age 1500 freestyle, swam brilliantly to slash an impressive 29 seconds from his PB while there were also PBs for Matthew Concannon (100 breaststroke), Mark Hurst (100 butterfly) and Liam Whalley (100 freestyle).
Fifteen Tyldesley swimmers will be in the Central Lancashire team to compete in the forthcoming Inter-Association galas at Everton: Jenny Sparks, Maria Hampson, Matthew Concannon, Mark Hurst, Kelly Banner, Samantha Greensmith, Jessica Howarth, Stephanie Thompson, Khalid Jhugroo, James Gendall, Stuart Carlisle, Kate Ward, Andrew Hurst, Matthew Hampson and Dominic Derbyshire.
In the second round of the Junior Jubilee, Tyldesley won at Dukinfield against the hosts, Stockport and Ashton-under-Lyne.
