A ST HELENS woman has become only the second woman in 126 years to be elected president of the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants.
Anne Morris, from Crank, followed in her father's footsteps to qualify a s a chartered accountant in 1978 and has held various positions of authority at the Liverpool Society over the last 20 years.
A keen golfer in her spare time, Anne, who will hold the presidency for a year, said: "The year will be one of fun as well as hard work and I shall enjoy being an ambassador for both Merseyside and the profession."
