MOSS Bank residents have voted for a multi-sports pitch to replace tennis courts in Kentmere Park which have recently fallen into disrepair.
Their opinions came to light following a public consultation exercise carried out by St Helens Council among local residents, schools and community groups. The council also asked about residents' opinions of the bowling green, how they rated various aspects of the park, and what improvements they would like to see.
Almost 60 per cent wanted to see the courts converted into a multi-sports pitch with landscaping. They also voted in favour of retaining the bowling green but added that it should be fenced off.
