POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a raid on the Cellar 5 off-licence on Hamilton Road, Garswood, on Tuesday, May 27.
Two men entered the shop at about 3.30pm and one threatened the assistants with a knife while the other went round to the back and stole £300 worth of cigarettes and miniature bottles of whisky.
The man who held the knife, which had a four-inch blade, was described as white, about 5ft 10ins tall and slimly-built with short dark hair. The other man was white, about 5ft 5 to 6ins with short brown hair. Both were in their late 20s or early 30s and spoke with Liverpool accents.
