GAG followed gag as funnyman Frank Carson rolled them off in his It's a Cracker show on North Pier.
Blackpool favourite Frank rifled out jokes old and new, some we'd heard before but what does it matter, as the man himself says: "It's the way I tell 'em."
He walked on stage as if at home, looking like he was in no mood to entertain, but once his Irish mouth started shining he let them rip and moved the audience from gag to gag sometimes stopping half way through and starting on a new one.
With no pattern to the act Frank showed what an old pro he truly is and threw out haphazard lines that somehow ended up in a joke.
The show started as a cabaret with a medley of acts which kept the audience singing or tapping along.
On the run-up to Frank, the Roly Polys teased the audience with their cheeky act of stripping, flirting, singing and dancing.
Billed as Blackpool's answer to the Spice Girls they showed their own version of girl power as they time-stepped rather than back-flipped through the act.
As probably the original and founders of all girl bands the Polys are the Grandmas of Spice and could probably give the younger version welcome advice on how to act with royalty and how to treat an audience.
Other acts, including 60s chart-toppers The Bachelors, illusionists Safire and multi-instrumentalist Pete Lindcup, gave an entertaining variety of acts to the show which runs until July 5.
