CONGRATULATIONS to Mr M Darez for his remarks about pavement obstructions (Letters, May 28). Only that morning, I had decided to put pen to paper myself as I walked to work along Whalley Banks and King Street in Blackburn.
The eyesore of clutter and mess of second-hand furniture shops is now out of hand. Piles of armchairs, settees, fridges and bikes take up most of the pavement, forcing the pedestrian to the kerb-edge - which are are for pedestrians, not the disgraceful eyesore of junk and house-clearance tat!
