CARL Fogarty has hit out at his Ducati team despite winning at Hockenheim.
The 30-year-old Blackburn ace retained his lead in the World Superbikes championship but then asked serious questions of his Italian bike manufacturers.
"I wanted to know why the bike was performing so slow," said Fogarty, who heads Aaorn Slight by 24 points.
"We need to get the bike a lot better - it's definitely not as good as it was two years ago."
Fogarty got himself into perfect position in the second race to claim victory after Burnley's Neil Hodgson had led for most of the way.
"I was in the right place at the right time and was able to get through and take it on the second last corner," he added.
Hodgson said: "I thought I really could win the race.
"But Carl got inside me on the last lap, touched my wheels twice - completely unintentionally - and I lost my racing line was sent careering towards the straw bails at 60mph. I managed to continue and take eighth place but the race was there for the taking.
"As I crossed the line I thought Neil would be right behind me but he lost his line at the final corner."
Hodgson finished a disappointing eighth after taking sixth spot in the opener.
