COUNCILLORS in Hyndburn decided that convictions for drink-driving, drug-taking, sex assaults and wounding should not indefinitely stop anyone being a cabbie.
The committee responsible for saying who can run a taxi in the borough agreed guidelines on licence applications from people with convictions.
But head of environmental health George Greenwood, said each case would be decided on its merits.
