A TRAIN traveller was threatened with a knife and told to hand over his watch by a passenger he befriended.
The attack happened when the two men got off the Glasgow train near the bookshop on Preston station.
The robber was of thin build, had cropped black hair, a goatee beard, a brightly coloured tattoo on his right forearm and was wearing stone washed jeans and black leather Adidas trainers. He spoke with a Glaswegian accent and called himself Paddy.
The watch was a silver Accurist worth £60. Transport Police are appealing for information on the theft on Friday afternoon (June 6). Contact them on (o1772) 253682.
