FOUR youngsters from Atherton SC did well at the Northern Counties Long Course.
Daniel Kings swam a brilliant 200 IM for gold in another National Qualifying Time, and then collected the silver in the 200 backstroke.
Natalie Rimmer swam to eighth in the 400 freestyle while Amy Jones swam a superb PB time in the 200 IM.
Mega-traveller Heather Frederiksen was third in the 400 freestyle and then moved on to the City of Chester Open Meet, where she swam to fifth in the 200 IM, sixth in the 100 backstroke and eighth in the 200 IM.
The Northern Counties Sprint Meet at Stockport saw Andrew Grime achieve two fine swims with fifth in the 50 backstroke and sixth in the 50 breaststroke.
Atherton were second in the second gala in the Manchester & District Team Swimming Competition. Points: Altrincham 78, Atherton 60, Radcliffe 58, Ashton Central 52.
