A HUNDREDTH birthday picture brought more than celebrations for a Blackpool nursing home resident.
For an old friend saw the photo in the paper last year and got in touch with a long-lost cousin who had thought her relative had passed away.
The contact brought a joyful reunion for Jane Osgood, who last Friday (June 6) celebrated her 101st birthday at the Orchard Lodge Nursing Home in Lytham Road.
Now, Miss Osgood's cousin, Ruth Turner, regularly visits from her home in Manchester.
Miss Osgood was born in Burnage, Manchester, and worked for the Red Cross during the First World War. She later became a civil servant in Blackpool.
Miss Osgood lived for many years in Lockerbie Avenue, Anchorsholme, where she was a devoted churchgoer.
Two years ago, she moved from the Hoyle House sheltered complex in Anchorsholme to Orchard Lodge.
