WORKERS have been busy knitting for the needy!

More than 1,000 teddy bears have been knitted by employees at British Aerospace at Samlesbury.

The bears are sent to the Teddies for Tragedies charity which sends them to children in countries hit by natural disaster.

"These teddies do more good than medicines. They cheer the children up and help them on the road to recovery," said Ivor Webber, from Lower Darwen, who works in customer support at Samlesbury.
