INDEPENDENT councillors have requested a meeting with the Deputy Leader of the Council to press for details about the shock departure of the Town Clerk John Burrows. Last week independent councillors were outraged by the way the council announced a Mr Burrows' departure after just 18 months. They have asked for a head to head with council leader Stanley Henig but he is on holiday and they are now awaiting for a response from the deputy leader Cllr Ian Barker. Said Cllr Carol Broad: "So far, we have received no satisfactory answers."
