A BEAUTIFUL white swan at Shrugg's Nature Reserve has been cast out like an ugly ducking!
The bird, which hatched last year, was unable to fly when her contemporaries migrated, so she was left alone - with no one to swim with.
And her parents, who are still around, won't have anything to do with her.
According to a regular at the Leyland's new beauty spot, she was a late developer and when the others flew off, she couldn't fly.
He said: "Her parents are still there but they've disowned her now and she just stays in a corner of the lake on her own."
