SIXTEEN swimmers from Tyldesley ASC represented Central Lancashire in the Inter-Association Age Group Galas at Everton Park.

And there were medals for Kate Ward, Khalid Jhugroo, Matthew Hampson and Stuart Carlisle.

Jessica Howarth reached a final and Matthew Concannon was first reserve.

Kate was second in the 13-Year 100 freestyle (NQT) and third in the 100 butterfly (PB). She was also fifth in the 200 freestyle.

Khalid produced a brilliant swim for second in the 12-Year 100 backstroke and was third in the 400 freestyle, both in NQTs and PBs. He added a sixth in the 200 IM and 100 freestyle and was seventh in the 100 breaststroke.

Matthew Hampson was second in the 14-Year 200 butterfly, fifth in the 400 IM and seventh in the 400 freestyle.

Stuart Carlisle (13-Year) collected bronze in the 200 butterfly (NQT) and was fourth in the 100 backstroke and fifth in the 400 freestyle.

Twelve-year-old Jessica Howarth was seventh in the 100 butterfly while Matthew Concannon narrowly missed a final spot, finishing first reserve in the 11-Year 100 breaststroke.

Good swims from James Gendall (PBs at 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke), Jenny Sparkes (PBs at 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke), Kelly Banner (PB at 100 breaststroke), Maria Hampson (PB 100 butterfly), Dominic Derbyshire (PB 100 breaststroke), Stephanie Thompson, Andrew Hurst and David Gendall.

Reserve swimmers were Samantha Greensmith and Mark Hurst.

Meanwhile, Tyldesley's Senior League team have won matches against Stalybridge and Rochdale.

The Junior League team beat Atherton and the Intermediates lost to Stalybridge.
