KIDS from St Helens are preparing to join other youngsters on the Three Peaks Challenge during the Summer Solstice (June 20 to 23).
A party of 28 adults and 20 children will be scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon to raise money for the St Helens and Knowsley Hospice Appeal and for further community-based projects.
The children come from St Julies Youth Club, Eccleston, and Brookfield and All Saints Schools in Kirkby.
The expedition will travel in four minibuses, each sponsored by local industry, namely Merseyside Police Federation Joint Branch Board, QVC Knowsley and Advanced Design Electronics and Carlton Fuels Ltd.
