FIFTEEN months ago you were kind enough to print a letter outlining our society's formation and its aims.
Many readers responded and we now have 250 members, including 20 Battle of Britain pilots. Many famous celebrities have put their weight behind our endeavours.
However, we still require many more members to 'adopt' forgotten Battle of Britain airmen who lie in unvisited graves throughout the country.
Our members have discovered vandalised gravestones, a pilot buried without any marker at all and a large number of plots virtually unrecognisable as graves.
Great strides have been made in reclaiming these derelict sites, but there is still much to do. If more of your readers would like to become involved or make donations could they please contact me.
