Boy, does Darwen Tower bring back fond memories.
I wonder if there are any of the old 'Bockle Back Gang' still around that remembers the times when we went up on the moor to the tower, starting from the Blue Delph.
We were often chased by 'Owd Ingham', the gamekeeper.
I wonder if anyone remembers the night when the gang split up and some of us went to the tower and waved lanterns to our mates on Carr Row Bottoms.
Owd Ingham, who knew the moor like the back of his hand, came over to see what was going on.
I could go on forever about the moor. Does anyone else have any memories?
