VANDALS targetting a bowling club have forced players into changing the venue for an upcoming tournament.
Thugs have pelted club house windows with stones, ridden cycles over the turf and dug holes in the green at the Highfield Bowling Club, Blackburn, making it impossible to play there.
The constant vandalism has now forced club members to switch their league competition to Queen's Park.
Some women bowlers at the club have also been upset by a torrent of verbal abuse from the vandals.
Watch groups have now been set up to keep an eye on the club ground, and local residents' associations are helping the bowlers repair the greens.
