YOUNGSTERS in Preston got into the Wimbledon mood when they held a strawberry fair - and rain didn't stop play!
Parents, pupils and teachers at Sherwood CP School, Fulwood joined forces to make their fund-raising summer event a sweet success.
The afternoon featured craft stalls, fun games, crazy competitions and lots of laughter courtesy of Sparkle the Clown.
Children were put through their paces when soldiers from Fulwood Barracks set up a mini army assault course at the school on Sherwood Way. The school choir were in fine voice, and parents added to the entertainment with a rock and roll dance display
Funds raised will go towards the school's campaign to raise £30,000 to set up an information technology centre.
