CARL FOGARTY saw his World Superbike Championship lead slashed to 14 points in an action packed fifth round at Monza.
The Hoddlesden rider had to settle for third and fourth places as American John Kocinski moved into second place on the leader board with a first and second spot in Italy.
But Foggy still rates third-placed Kiwi Aaron Slight as the main threat between him and his quest for a third title in four years.
The next round of the championship takes place at Laguna Seca in America on July 11-13.
DARWEN rider Darren Barton finished 13th in the latest round of the 125cc Supercup at Brands Hatch in a race that was thrown into chaos due to a torrential downpour. Barton remains in third place in the riders table.
